Master bedrooms are often overlooked when it comes to updating. After all, we send one-third of our life in it! Why not make it as comfy as possible. One area I am going to talk about in this post is that unforgotten space………..at the end of the bed.
Try adding seating at the end of the bed. WINK It would be a great place to place your robe or how about books. This room has a very traditional setting with an interesting cane back bench.Adding two small bench can make a big impact. The blue is repeated on the bed shams. Blue and white pottery with be a great choice for accessories. This is a master bedroom in Cheryl Tieg’s southern California cabin. The tall wooden bench at the foot of the bed could be out-of-place, if it is not balanced, due to the weight. We usually do not think of using chairs at the end of the bed. I give this a big wink! The toile curtains and stripe on the dust skirt makes the check a very good choice.Another great look at the end of the bed. Using the velvet with a decorative tape makes the long bench more important. The toile wallpaper makes a very interesting back drop for all the solid fabrics. Good color combinations! WINKThe combinations of fabrics here are very clean and crispy. One of my favorite bed covering is the white or cream french matelasse spread in cotton or linen. Most are washable. A good source for these are www.linensource.com.
